Gloria Ann (Christiansen) Angst, 77

| November 27, 2021 12:00 AM

Gloria Ann (Christiansen) Angst, 77, of Bigfork, slipped the surly bonds of earth on Nov. 22, 2021, in the presence of family and friends.

Born on Oct. 2, 1944, in Albert Lea, Minnesota, Gloria brought boundless love and light into the world. She was raised on a farm near Blooming Prairie, Minnesota, by her parents, Alvin and Mae (Erickson) Christiansen along with her brothers, Gregg and Gary.

On Sept. 25, 1993, Gloria married Donald Angst. At that time, they lived in Naples, Florida — but soon discovered and fell in love with Bigfork. Gloria and Don made Bigfork their year-round home, where Gloria quickly acclimated to the Western lifestyle and made countless friends. Very special among them were her Saddle Pals — the women who loved horses and embraced adventure.

Gloria’s faith was strong, her love knew no bounds, and her passions ran deep. Worshipping at her local community church, Gloria made personal connections with people from all walks of life. She was a gracious soul with a huge heart — a kind spirit who was always willing to lend a helping hand. Believing in giving back to the community, Gloria enjoyed her volunteer work at the local food bank. She was also involved in the P.E.O. Sisterhood. And she had a special place in her heart for her furry, four-legged friends.

Gloria will be missed beyond measure by her husband, Don; daughter, Bridget Stack; brother, Gregg Christiansen; grandchildren, Jazlyn (Blake) Shipman, Katie (Blake) Adams and Savanah Stack; stepchildren, Jeff (Stephanie) Angst and Pam (Kent Jones) Angst; stepgrandchildren, Joseph Quass, Spencer (Carla) Jones and Samantha Jones; and so many dear friends that she collected throughout her life.

Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Gary Christiansen.

Funeral services for family and friends will be held on Saturday, Dec. 4, at 11 a.m. at Bethany Lutheran Church, Bigfork. A luncheon will follow the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Bigfork Food Bank, or Bethel Chapel in Bigfork.
