Chamber plans Grand Event

The Kalispell Chamber of Commerce will host its Grand Event from 5 to 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 10 at the Hilton Garden Inn. at the 117th Grand Event, the Chamber will present the winners of the 50th Flathead Community Legacy Award (formerly Great Chief), Business of the Year (small/medium and large), Business Person of the Year, Rising Star Award, and Community Spirit Award.

Disaster loans for small farms

Small nonfarm businesses in 12 Montana counties are now eligible to apply for low interest federal disaster loans from the U.S. Small Business Administration.

Primary counties: Lake, Pondera and Teton;

Neighboring counties: Flathead, Cascade, Chouteau, Glacier, Lewis and Clark, Liberty, Missoula, Sanders and Toole.

Small nonfarm businesses, small agricultural cooperatives, small businesses engaged in aquaculture and most private nonprofit organizations of any size may qualify for Economic Injury Disaster Loans of up to $2 million to help meet financial obligations and operating expenses which could have been met had the disaster not occurred.

Applicants may apply online, receive additional disaster assistance information and download applications at https://disasterloanassistance.sba.gov/. Applicants may also call SBA’s Customer Service Center at (800) 659-2955 or email disastercustomerservice@sba.gov for more information on SBAdisaster assistance. Individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing may call (800) 877-8339. Completed applications should be mailed to U.S. SmallBusiness Administration, Processing and Disbursement Center, 14925 Kingsport Road, Fort Worth, TX 76155.
