Concert features classical musicians Mizutani and Neiman

A concert titled “Worlds Collide” will feature renowned violinist Wai Mizutani and pianist Jordan Neiman at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 24, at the Flathead High School auditorium.

Mizutani is a Juillard graduate originally from Beijing, China. He has performed worldwide with orchestras that included the Juilliard Symphony Orchestra, Manhattan Symphony Orchestra, Rutgers University Orchestra and Seoul National University Orchestra, to name a few. He has performed at such venues at Carnegie Hall, Hollywood Bowl and the Kennedy Center and has shared the stage with numerous esteemed artists, including Michael Jackson, Andrea Bocelli, Barbra Streisand and Yo-Yo Ma.

A former professor at Northern Kentucky University, Neiman is a graduate of Flathead High School, has a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, a Master or Music degree from the Boston Conservatory and a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. He has played concerts and recitals throughout the South, Pacific Northwest, New York, Canada and Switzerland. He recently returned to the Flathead Valley and now teaches and performs in Kalispell.
