Law roundup: Ambulance calls police for help
An ambulance called the Kalispell Police Department when a dark-colored sedan that was driving recklessly began swerving toward the emergency vehicle. The car continued swerving and almost went into the ditch a few times.
A parent told officers a man was looking into vehicle windows and trying the doors in a parking lot when he approached the vehicle their daughter was sitting inside and she told him to leave it alone. The man was wearing a baseball cap, black shirt and camo pants.
A man reportedly knocked on someone’s apartment door and was “digging in someone’s tent” across the street. The resident’s landlord told them to call the cops if the man returned because he was not supposed to be there.
A man with slurred speech allegedly asked someone in a parking lot to call 911 for medical assistance and was yelling about being in a wheelchair. The person didn’t see any obvious injuries and thought he might be intoxicated. Officers told the man he was trespassing and he moved along.
A manager calling from her home reportedly thought a man tried to “roofie” her at work and wanted officers to check the parking lot to ensure workers got to their vehicles safely.
A tan RV was purportedly back at a location after previously being told to leave by staff. Officers counseled an employee about having vehicles towed off of the private property.
Tires were delivered to the wrong address when a man found them outside his garage and wasn’t sure what to do.
Officers made contact with a man lying on the ground who broke his ankle.
A man and a woman were screaming and yelling at each other in a parking lot while he worked on a truck.
A store employee wanted to turn in a wallet and keys a customer found outside the building.
A woman called officers claiming her intoxicated husband was driving and it was an ongoing issue.
Store security requested a quick response for an uncooperative woman who was being detained for theft.
Someone reportedly received “disturbing texts” from a man stating he was going “to set something ablaze” and had the means to do it and he was staying at a warming shelter.
A trio of teens threw items around a store and one of them confronted security for calling law enforcement to kick them out. The group left in a black Toyota with the lights off and almost hit a pedestrian.
Teenagers hanging around about four vehicles parked in a lot behind a church were reportedly smoking and playing loud music, which upset a resident who asked them to leave, but they refused. Officers seized alcohol and drugs at the scene and turned the boys over to their parents.
