Sharon Ann Landon-Miller, 75

| September 1, 2021 12:00 AM

Musician and retired Head-Start teacher Sharon Ann Landon-Miller, 75, of Kalispell, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, on Aug. 18, 2021, after a courageous battle with end stage kidney disease.

Sharon was born on July 21, 1946, in Helena to Leo R. Landon and Alice “Dotty” A. Landon. Sharon grew up in Billings where she enjoyed being a lifeguard, babysitting the kids in her neighborhood, and protecting her little brother. Sharon graduated from Billings West High School. Sharon studied psychology and human resources at both Eastern College and Flathead Valley Community College where she found her passion for mentoring and guiding young minds. She also loved to bake with her grandchildren, who would sit on the counter next to the mixing bowl, helping their Honey. Sharon worked alongside her son, Eric, as a chef and baker for Pancho Magoo's in Kalispell for many years. Her caramel rolls were the talk of the town!

One could also experience her love through her music. When Sharon would sing, while picking the guitar or sitting at the piano, every ear was tuned to the sound of her voice. She could sing all day long, harmonizing to any note, while those around her couldn’t help but listen. Sharon shared her vocal gift for many years by singing with the Sweet Adelines alongside her mother.

Above all, what Sharon cherished the most was her role as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She went by many names; Mom, Grandma, Grammy, Auntie, and her personal favorite, Honey.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Dotty, and her beloved son, Eric James Miller.

Sharon is survived by her brother, Dan Landon, and his wife Charlene; Sharon’s children, Serene, Rebecca, Anita and James; her grandchildren, Katie, Kasaundra, Makayla, Sierra, Jonyx, Ethan, Gabriel and Abigail; her great-grandchildren, Izabella, Mae, Aryss and Myah; and many more nieces, nephews and cousins.

Please join the family in a celebration of Sharon’s life which will be held on Saturday, Sept. 4, at 2 p.m. at the Calvary Lutheran Church, 2200 U.S. 2, Kalispell.
