Columbia Falls’ Movie in the Park nights open with ‘Mrs. Doubtfire’

The Columbia Falls Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a series of Movie in the Park during September and October at Marantette Park, 133 13th Street East, Columbia Falls. The events are free to attend.

The first film to be shown will be “Mrs. Doubtfire” Friday, Sept. 10,

The movie starts at dusk, between 8 and 8:30 p.m.

Local mystery writers lead outdoor discussion

Join local mystery writers Leslie Budewitz, Christine Carbo, Mark Leichliter, and Debbie Burke for “Murder, Incorporated,” a lively discussion of their books at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 5, on the lawn of Lake Baked Bakery in Bigfork beside the Swan River.

Pastries and beverages will be for sale from Lake Baked and River View Bar.

The group will spill their secrets for writing about mischief, mayhem and murder.

Books will be for sale and the authors will sign them.

History Museum cancels final trivia night

The Northwest Montana History Museum has made the difficult decision to cancel the last trivia night of the season, previously scheduled for Friday, Sept. 17.

Staff thank everyone who attended the previous three trivia nights. Be on the lookout for more events soon from the Northwest Montana History Museum.
