Polson man dies in Saturday morning traffic crash
A Polson man died in a traffic crash on Interstate 90 early Saturday morning.
According to the Montana Highway Patrol, the 28-year-old man was driving a 2010 Honda Civic around 6:30 a.m. near Gold Creek in Powell County when it left the road, entered the median and jumped the crossover. The vehicle then became airborne and rolled several times.
The driver was ejected from the car and died at the scene.
Troopers reported the driver had not been wearing a seat belt. Drugs and excessive speed were suspected factors in the crash.
