| September 5, 2021 12:00 AM

Dale James Bjorge, 77, of Kalispell, passed away on Aug. 29, 2021.

Dale was born in Williston, North Dakota, on March 30, 1944, five minutes after his twin brother Dean. They grew up on the Bjorge farm outside of Bainville, Montana, with their older sister Linda and younger brother Thomas. Dale graduated high school from Culbertson in 1962 and went on to college, graduating from the University of Montana in Missoula with a degree in accounting.

He married the love of his life, Karla Betz, in 1965.

Dale worked as a CPA and was partners with Ray Wicks in Columbia Falls for many years and later worked at Interbel in Eureka until he retired. Upon retirement Dale and Karla enjoyed being snowbirds, spending their winters in Arizona and their summers in the Flathead. They spent many days playing golf, and Dale was proud to say he got not one, but two holes in one in his lifetime. He and Karla also enjoyed square dancing and traveled around the country with their friends. We will all miss his quick wit and sense of humor.

Dale is survived by his wife Karla of 56 years, son Michael and his wife Jeannie of Queen Creek, Arizona, daughter Michelle of Hamilton, Montana, and grandkids Shayla, Trey, and Mackenzie.

A celebration of Dale’s life will be held at a later date.
