Charles R. Storkson
Charles R. Storkson passed away on Sept. 5, 2021, in Sanders County, Montana.
He worked on a fishing boat in Alaska in the 1990s with his brother Scott. In the early 2000s the brothers started logging for Peter Busch. They then went on to the oil patches in North Dakota and later resurrected their dad’s sawmill in Hot Springs, Montana, and built the beautiful Circle Saw Campground. The brothers were an amazing team.
Chuck was an avid fan of the Seattle Seahawks and Seattle Mariners. He loved trout fishing, harvesting shaggy mane mushrooms and grouse hunting. Chuck always had a ready smile and made everyone feel welcome. The love between Chuck and his wife Cindy was extraordinary in all ways.
He is survived by his wife Cindy Storkson; daughter Shyla Storkson, son Anthony Sundh, his wife Sara; grandchildren, Jayden Price, Lily Anderson, Domenic Sundh and Kamber Sundh; brother, Scott Storkson; sisters, Trisha Trump and Angela Storkson; nieces Ky Weber, Victoria Ottwell, and Leya Anderson and nephews, Eddy Trump, Travis Mikesell, Steele Mikesell and Cody Mikesell.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Joan Hutchinson Storkson; his father, Carl Storkson; his brother C.J. Storkson; and his maternal grandmother, Alice Hutchinson. Chuck’s legacy will live on through his wife and brother as well as extended family.
A celebration of life will be held at the Montana Bar in Hot Springs on Saturday, Sept. 18, at noon. Services will be held on Saturday, Sept. 25, at 11 a.m. at St. Charles Catholic Church in Whitefish.
