| September 11, 2021 12:00 AM

Joyce Habel Franczek, originally from Kalispell, passed away peacefully at Meridian Meadows Care in Meridian, Idaho, of natural causes on Sept. 1, 2021.

She was born March 2, 1930, in Huron, South Dakota, to Carl and Agnes Angell Holombo.

Mom was an avid reader of mysteries, loved to watch WWE Wrestling with her son-in-law Dale, and cherished her portrait of Elvis Presley her nephews gave her.

She is survived by daughters, Jacky (Dale) Gerking, and Pam (Brian) Russell, all from Meridian, Idaho, and Shirley (Jeff Schreiner) Muffitt of Kalispell; and son, Tim (Debra) Habel, of Texas. Mom was blessed with seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband Robert Franczek in 2019, and granddaughter Brenda Goodnough Jennings in 2018.

There will be a graveside memorial at a later date in Havre.

We want to give a special thank you to Meridian Meadows’ nurses for their excellent care and love they gave our mom.
