No. 28059 Service Date: September 14, 2021 DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SERVICE REGULATION BEFORE THE PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION OF THE STATE OF MONTANA IN THE MATTER OF NorthWestern Energy's Request for Partial Waiver of Administrative and Tariff Rules Concerning In-Person Notice REGULATORY DIVISION DOCKET NO. 2021.08.109 NOTICE OF APPLICATION AND INTERVENTION DEADLINE On August 19, 2021, NorthWestern Energy ("NorthWestern") filed with the Montana Public Service Commission ("Commission") its Partial Waiver of Administrative and Tariff Rules Concerning in-person Notice ("Petition"). In NorthWestern's petition they seek a partial waiver of Mont. Admin. R. 38.5.1405, 38.5.1413, and Tariff Rules No 13-5 and 13-13. These regulations and tariff provisions describe how NorthWestern is allowed to terminate service and how they notify customers. If the Commission grants NorthWestern's waiver, NorthWestern proposes to continue providing ample notification to customers, but through different methods such as e-mail, text messages, or with two-way meters.
