Jean Given Bacon, 84

| September 26, 2021 12:00 AM

Jean Given Bacon, 84, passed away at Heritage Place on Sept 22, 2021, after years of poor health.

Jean was the oldest child of Virgil and Elizabeth Given born on May 1, 1937, in Dillon. Growing up in Anaconda and graduating from Anaconda High School, she received honors in track, softball and for never missing a day of school in all 12 years.

She went on to receive a cosmetology license and prided herself in owning her own salon at a young age. Jean was also a waitress and bartender; her last position was at Scotty’s, until health issues forced her to retire.

All who knew Jean will remember her as hardworking, fun, loving, thoughtful, loyal, generous, kind, and a true friend. She was a lover of all animals, great and small. In her memory, please donate to any animal support group.

Jean is survived locally by her sister, Jane Richmond and husband Terry, niece and family, Liz English (Tyler), Riley and Quinn; and Jean’s brother Bob Given and wife Sandy of Parker, Colorado, and children Travis (Jamie), Tyler, Skyler and Gabby and Jaimie (Reno) and Payton.

A private service will be held at a later date.
