James Lloyd Schrage, 76

James Lloyd Schrage, 76, passed away at Logan Health Medical Center in Kalispell March 31, 2022.

James was born Aug. 18, 1945, in Hardin, Montana, to John and Elsie (Durtsche) Schrage.

He was raised in Powell, Wyoming and immediately after high school enlisted in the United States Army from 1963 to 1966 where he was a part of the 1st Cavalry Divisions Aviation Battalion and would serve one tour in Vietnam as a CH-47 helicopter maintenance technician.

Upon completion of his enlistment, James would become a technician for Columbia Falls Aluminum Company for 35 years. James wed Patricia Collier in 1990 in Kalispell and would spend a wonderful 31 years together raising a family. He could often be found woodworking, golfing and golf club building.

James was preceded in death by his parents, John and Elsie; sisters, Helen Gebhart and Shirley Yonts; and brothers, Bill and Rick Schrage.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia; sister, Diana Schrage-Krahenbuhl; sons, Travis, James, Justin Schrage and Scott Collier; grandchildren, Jaylene Myers, Nolan Collier, Keri, Robert, Ashley, Tyler and Tara Schrage; and great-grandchildren, Aspyn, Sebashtian and Montgomery Myers.

There will be a private family gathering today, April 3. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
