Michael Lloyd Guthrie, 76

Michael Lloyd Guthrie, 76, passed away from natural causes on Sunday, March 20, 2022, in Newport, Oregon. He had been living there for the last 20 years.

He was born in Kalispell Dec. 18, 1945. He was the son of Lloyd and Ann Guthrie of Kalispell. He attended Batavia School and graduated from Flathead High School in 1964. Throughout his youth he played numerous years of baseball, with American Legion being the final league.

After high school, he joined the U.S. Army National Guard. He was stationed at Fort Lewis, Washington, several times during his tour.

Mike enjoyed music and taught himself how to play guitar. Entertaining at family get-togethers and supper clubs always put a smile on his face.

He was preceded in death by both parents.

He is survived by his sister, Judy Dofelmire; two nephews, Chad and Jared Dofelmire; and two great-nephews, Jackson and Luke Dofelmire.

Mike never met a stranger that didn’t walk away a friend.

No funeral is planned at this time. A memorial will be planned at a later date.
