| April 7, 2022 12:00 AM

Don Frownfelter, beloved father, Dad to three girls, Danette, Kimberly and Connie, and his stepson Kevin, Grandpa to 18 beautiful grandchildren and one great-grandchild, loved his family and friends deeply and was fortunate to have many of them by his side when he passed away Saturday evening April 2, 2022.

Don was born in Jamestown, North Dakota, in 1940 and grew up on the family farm with five of his siblings, Raphael, Bernadine, Kenneth, Dennis and Christine. After high school he enlisted in the Army where he spent four years mostly in Germany before moving to Montana in 1969. Don was a well-respected carpenter. He owned his own businesses, Frownfelter Construction and Quality Home Construction, building custom homes in the Flathead Valley for over 35 years. Don was also a member of the Back Country Horsemen Association and loved to pack and ride his horses in the Bob Marshall Wilderness.

He is survived by his daughters, stepson, grandchildren, great-grandchild, siblings, nieces, nephew and longtime companion, Linda.

No service is planned at this time.

The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, to please consider donating to the local veterans pantry and/or local food bank.
