Glacier boys top Hellgate, but Knights sweep Flathead

Will Rudbach headlined for the Glacier boys Friday in a 6-2 tennis dual victory against Hellgate.

Rudbach dispatched his opponent, Leo Mart, in straight sets (6-0, 6-0) at No. 2 singles. Kyler Knutson won at No. 3 singles. Harrison Sanders was felled by Sebastian Silverstein in No. 1 singles.

In boys doubles, Alex Galloway and Timmy Glanville survived a scare from Hellgate’s Oliver Hanson and Miles Schroeder to win 6-0, 7-5.

The Wolfpack sailed through the rest of the doubles Friday, with the teams of Ethan Woods/Trey Engellant, Calvin Schmidt/Brighton Kelsey and Rhett Measure/Dalyn Mathison earning wins.

Hellgate topped the Glacier girls 7-1.

Katy Bitney and Sarah Downs teamed up for a win at No. 3 doubles over Bailey Sailer/Lucy Johnston in three sets 4-6, 7-5, 10-7.

The Hellgate boys also swept the Braves 8-0 in a dual on Friday and its girls won 7-1.

Flathead’s Patricia Hinchey defeated Chloe McCulloch 6-2, 6-2 in No. 2 singles.

Hellgate’s Brooke Best continued her streak of No. 1 singles wins, as did Silverstein. Mae Mickaelson and Ava Saltzman were also winners for Hellgate.
