Patricia Sharlyn Bennett, 86

| April 10, 2022 12:00 AM

Patricia “Pat” was born to loving parents, followed by a brother a few years later. She graduated with a nursing degree from St. Olaf School of Nursing in Minnesota.

She married the love of her life, Marvin Bennett, in 1956. They resided in southern California, where they had three children. Marv and Pat chose for her to stay home with the children after the second. Pat never learned to drive. In 1972 the family moved to Bigfork, where they lived until Marv’s death in 1992 from ALS. Pat, who had learned to drive, continued to live in Bigfork until needing to move into assisted care at the BeeHive in Columbia Falls. She passed peacefully in her sleep on Valentine’s Day, 2022.

Pat is survived by her brother, “Cappy,” and his wife Mary, in Simi Valley, California; a daughter, Melanie Moore, of Kalispell; a daughter, Diane Treece, and her husband, Keith, of Kalispell; a son, Grant Bennett, and his wife, Joni, of St. Paul, Minnesota; as well as six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and friends.

She will be laid to rest beside her husband in Lone Pine Cemetery, followed by a lunch at 255 Swan Retreat at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 4. Please send any flowers to the BeeHive in Columbia Falls.
