Weather causes schedule changes to local sports

Several area sporting events were postponed or canceled due to high winds and low temperatures on Tuesday.

Tuesday’s Kalispell Time Trials and a Glacier track and field dual in Butte originally scheduled for Thursday were canceled. It is unclear whether the Time Trials will be rescheduled, but the Butte dual will not be made up.

Columbia Falls had a pair of tennis duals against Flathead and Glacier rescheduled to next Tuesday.

Whitefish, which hasn’t had a track and field meet yet this season, quickly scheduled a dual with Columbia Falls for 4 p.m. Thursday, in Whitefish.

Flathead and Glacier’s softball games in Missoula were among the events postponed Tuesday. The Bravettes’ game against Sentinel has been rescheduled to the 20th. Glacier is still working on rescheduling its game versus Big Sky.

At press time, Thursday’s crosstown tennis dual was still going ahead as scheduled.
