Browning drops opener to Libby

LIBBY — Destinee Crawford tripled and drove in five runs and Paislee MacDonald threw four innings of one-hit ball as Libby downed Browning 23-4 in a Northwest A softball game shortened by the mercy rule.

MacDonald helped her own cause with two doubles; she drove in two and scored three times for the Loggers (4-2 overall, 2-0 in league). On the mound she walked one and struck out five.

It was the opening game for Browning (0-1, 0-1).

Taylor Munro had a double and triple and drove in four runs; Courtney Benson scored four times from her leadoff spot.

Sidney Rusdal also hit a triple and drove in three runs. Mylie Rayome had a double among her four hits.
