Butte pitcher Ashlinn Mullaney held the Glacier offense to four hits and the Bulldogs downed the host Wolfpack 4-1 in a Western AA softball game Friday.

The Wolfpack, 4-5 overall and 1-5 in conference play, led 1-0 on Emma Cooke’s solo home run in the second inning.

Butte (4-6, 4-2 in league) tied the game in the third when Kodie Hoagland drew a walk and came around on a passed ball, a groundout and a wild pitch.

The Bulldogs took the lead for good on an RBI single by Bryn Godbout in the fourth, before Glacier’s Ella Farrell wiggled out of trouble in that inning. But with nobody out in the fifth Rian Ferriter hit a 2-run homer to make it 4-1.

Butte rapped out 12 hits, nine coming against Farrell in her four-plus innings. Alli Kernan threw three innings of spotless relief for Glacier, but the bats didn’t get going.

The Pack’s next action is Thursday at Missoula Hellgate. Butte stays in Kalispell to play Flathead Saturday at 1:45 p.m., at KidSport.
