BILLINGS — Bigfork basketball standout Emma Berreth has signed to play with the Rocky Mountain College women’s team, Battlin’ Bears coach Wes Keller announced Tuesday.

Berreth, a 5-foot-8 guard, averaged 16.4 points and 4.9 rebounds a game for her high school career. She was All-State for Class B as a senior, averaging 15.5 points and helping the Valkyries to a 25-2 record and a third place finish at the State B tournament.

"Emma is a 1,000 career-point scorer at the high school level," Keller said in a release from RMC. "She brings a great mentality and toughness with her play. She will be a great fit at Rocky, and we are excited to help her grow."

"I chose Rocky because I really like the education program along with the campus," Berreth said in the release. "After talking with Coach Fed (assistant Jason Federico) and Coach Keller I knew it was where I wanted to go, because I really appreciated and liked the way they run the program."

Berreth is the fourth Montanan to sign this spring with the Bears: Ashley Wang, a guard out of Fort Benton, Avery Walker, another guard out of Bozeman’s Gallatin High, and forward Dominique Evans of Billings Central signed letters of intent in April.

The Bears lost five seniors off their historic 29-5 team that advanced to the NAIA’s Elite 8 in Sioux Falls, S.D., in March.

Bigfork High School held a ceremony April 18 to announce Berreth’s signing.
