Montana Renaissance Faire transforms Majestic Valley Arena into King Arthur's Court

| August 5, 2022 12:00 AM

In full suits of armor, medieval dress and fantastical costumes, hundreds took the field adjacent to the Majestic Valley Area for the Montana Renaissance Faire over the weekend.

The hot temperatures did little to discourage the crowds and onlookers took in sights including fire jugglers and magicians to full-armor medieval combat and jousting.

“It’s a really fun day out for the whole family. We have entertainment and food. We have some very interesting merchandise vendors as well,” organizer Charlotte Reynolds said. “It’s a fun atmosphere that is really different from the average day out. It’s a unique experience.”

Saturday and Sunday will be the last chance for people to take in the faire in Kalispell with events and shows running from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. both days.

With turkey legs, flagons of ale, swords, bows, chain mail and more, the Montana Renaissance Faire offers something for all history and fantasy fans.

With temperatures expected to reach near 80 on Saturday and in the mid 80s Sunday, the weather should be conducive for a pleasant experience.

“We have a lot of shaded areas this year, which was super helpful. We are looking forward to having some slightly cooler temperatures this weekend, though,” Reynolds said.

The entertainment begins at 10:30 with shows continuing throughout the day.

An adult day pass is $25 with children ages 3-13 only $15. An adult weekend pass is available for $45 with children $25.
