Whitefish library summer events wrap up

Summer Adventures 2022 at Whitefish Community Library ends with four events over the week of Aug. 11 to Aug. 17.

Aug. 11,10:30 a.m. -Try some flying disc moves. Flathead Valley Disc Golf’s David Trussell will demonstrate. Participants will practice and then try shots on temporary holes set up in the library’s Big Back Yard.

Aug. 13, 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.- Fifth annual Edible Book Contest & Feast. The library is closed that day but join book and food lovers to enter an edible book, vote for the People’s Choice Award, or feast on edible books once the judging has ended. This is also the last chance for Summer Reading Challenge readers to turn in their reading logs for prize drawing tickets.

Aug. 16, 10:30 a.m. - Preschoolers and their caregivers can sample North Valley Music School’s music class “Music Together.”

Aug. 17 - Tickets for Summer Reading Challenge prizes will be drawn and the winners notified. Winners can pick up their prizes immediately whenever the library is open.
