Law roundup: Reeky woman goes to workplace for nap

A couple of times an employee allegedly arrived to work smelling of weed and methamphetamine. On this particular day, she showed up to the business when she wasn’t scheduled to work and was found sleeping in the lunchroom. Someone wanted her kicked out.

Yet another fence panel was reportedly damaged on a street where a similar incident occurred. The resident said it looked like someone kicked in a fence panel. Kalispell Police Department added the neighborhood to a list of locations for extra patrol.

A transient camping on the corner at the corner of a property allegedly got extra comfy and was seen with a mattress setup. Officers told him he had a couple of hours to remove all his belongings or he would be cited for trespassing.

Two men in their 20s were reportedly riding a bicycle probably not built for two and one of them jumped off and tried to steal a bike from a residence. The man who wanted to swipe the bike was described as having long wavy hair and was wearing a camo jacket.

Someone allegedly wanted a man sitting on a lawn chair outside a “crappy old school bus,” that had been repainted in a parking lot, moved along. The man claimed a business manager gave him permission to be there. The person who called in the complaint said he was the owner of the lot and would handle the issue himself because he did not want to escalate the situation.

Someone allegedly cut a fence to steal an ATV.

A property manager claimed she called every tow company and junkyard to find out no one would take an RV at the location. Officers told her they couldn’t force a company to tow a vehicle and suggested she try calling the sheriff’s department.

A driver in a gray pickup was reportedly slumped over the wheel and almost drove off the road.

Officers allegedly saw burnt foil by the feet of a driver found asleep in his car. He said he used the “last of his scrapings to combat withdrawal” prior to rehab.
