Law roundup: Woman tires of ding-dong ditch prank

A woman requested extra patrol from Kalispell Police Department because she was reportedly tired of youths playing ding-dong ditch and banging on her door. She told officers she saw a younger male dressed all in black leaving on foot.

Officers received a few calls requesting the removal of a Suburban and an old short bus that were reportedly making the rounds to parking lots, buildings and other sites around town where they were not welcome.

A man with a couple of wagons and a few hammers in his possession was allegedly hanging around near a drive-thru, blocking parking spaces and making staff and customers feel uncomfortable in general. He reportedly had two felony warrants out of Washington but would not be extradited due to Covid. He was moved along.

A woman in an alley appeared to be on methamphetamine and was taken to the hospital at her request.

Someone was driving a silver or gray Chevy at varying speeds and going in and out of a ditch into oncoming traffic before pulling into a parking lot.

A security employee reportedly called police for assistance handling an intoxicated man with a German shepherd, who was down by a creek yelling at them to, “Come get him.”

A man allegedly had a gun pulled on him by another man who was pursuing his girlfriend, of whom he had an argument with.

A woman went grocery shopping and purportedly returned to find her silver chain necklace missing and believed someone had broken into her home and stolen it.

A young girl with a backpack allegedly dumped a black and lime green bicycle onto someone’s property.

A man allegedly left the emergency room with an IV in his arm and was picked up by someone in a vehicle. He told a nurse he took it out, but they wanted officers to let them know if the IV port was removed if they made contact with him.

A Chevy truck with a canopy was reportedly driving in the center of a road and then just stopped in the middle of an intersection. A tow truck was called.

A woman alleged their neighbor was abusing a small dog by yanking it around by the neck, yelling at it and dragging it along by its leash

An SUV rental was reported stolen until someone helped the renter, who had the keys, find it in a parking lot.

A black lab was running around traffic and someone thought it would get hit.
