Hockaday offers military and vets free admission

The Hockaday Museum is part of Blue Star Museums, a partnership between the National Endowment for the Arts and Blue Star Families, in collaboration with the Department of Defense and museums across America. Blue Star Museums offer free admission to the nation’s active-duty military personnel and their families, including National Guard and Reserve, through Labor Day. The Kalispell Elks Lodge’s contribution helped to make this possible.

Gospel concert offered Saturday

Flathead Valley Gospel Music Association presents Keepers of the Faith at 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, at Central Bible Church in Kalispell.

Cowboy Country and the Gold Dust Girls play classic country and vintage rock ’n’ roll music from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, at the Kalispell Eagles. Guest artist Steve Eckels will play guitar.

WTC plans Volunteer Appreciation Party

Whitefish Theatre Co invites all those who have volunteered or are interested in volunteering for the organization to join in its Volunteer Appreciation Party from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 25. Everyone is welcome.

The evening will involve a preview video of WTC’s 2022-2023 season and allow everyone to sign up for various volunteer needs throughout the year. These include costume sewing, help with props, tech assistance, set building, ushering, box office help, and more. WTC will also be announcing its Volunteer of the Year Award, along with some other fun awards. WTC will be providing complimentary food and drinks.
