Kenneth R. Daley, 84

It is with great sadness that we announce Kenneth R. Daley, 84, unexpectedly passed away Tuesday May 24, 2022.

Born Nov. 1, 1938, in Kalispell, Ken grew up in Somers where he lived all his life. Ken attended Somers school and graduated Flathead in 1957. He met his wife Myrni in 1966 and was married Oct. 1, 1967.

Ken was known as a hot rodder, but mostly remembered for his community service in the SomersLakeside area. He was almost (a few months) a charter member of the Somers Volunteer Fire Department. In the ‘80s he became battalion chief and later chief. Ken also served with the Flathead County Search and Rescue as a rescue diver for several years. He dedicated his life to helping others. For that he will truly be missed.

Ken is survived by his wife Myrni, son Robert and his wife Janette, and several grandsons, Dalton, Austin, Colton and Cameron.

He was preceded in death by his parents Roy and Jesse, brother Roger, and daughter Jody.

A celebration of life will be held at the Somers Fire Hall Aug. 28 at 2 p.m. There will be a potluck and pulled pork sandwiches will be supplied by the Somers Fire Hall.

Ken spent his life risking all to save others. He will be deeply missed.
