FHS music performances

Flathead High School’s orchestra and band are offering the following holiday concerts this season. The public is encouraged to attend.

The FHS orchestra concert will be held at 7 p.m.Thursday, Dec. 8.

The FHS band concert will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13.

GHS music performances

Glacier High School's choir, band and orchestra will perform together at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m., Dec. 15 in the performance hall.

Reception opens exhibit at WCC

Hockaday Museum of Art hosts a reception for the inaugural exhibit, “Gateway to Glacier” from 5 to 7 p.m. on Dec. 15 at the Wanda Hollensteiner Art Gallery in the Wachholz College Center, at Flathead Valley Community College. The exhibit will feature selected works from the Hockaday Museum of Art’s permanent collection, on display through Jan. 31. Author speaks

Author John Fraley, who is a retired wildlife biologist and Flathead Valley adjunct instructor, will speak about his new book “My Wilderness Life” on Tuesday, Dec. 20 at 6 p.m. at the FVCC library classrooms, 725 Grandview Dr., Kalispell. The book recounts Fraley’s 50 years of exploring the Bob Marshall Wilderness and other wild areas. Copies of his book will also be available for purchase.
