Kats, Lady Indians, Bulldogs and Vals win Friday

FRENCHTOWN — Hope McAtee and Mecca Bullchild went off, leading Columbia Falls and Browning to girls basketball wins at the Frenchtown Tip-Off Tournament Friday.

Bigfork and Whitefish also picked up wins on Friday, while Libby, Polson and Ronan fell in their games.

The tournament concludes Saturday.

Columbia Falls 61, Corvallis 24

McAtee’s 25 points led the way for the Wildkats, who led 53-16 after three quarters of play. Kierra Kemppainen and Lexi Oberholtzer added 11 points each for Columbia Falls.

Mecca Bullchild scored 20 points — including 12 free throws, in 14 attempts — and the Lady Indians pulled away on Frenchtown.

Amari Calf Robe’s two third-quarter 3-pointers helped Browning push a 26-20 halftime lead out to 40-29.
