Boys hoops: Browning, C-Falls and Polson win

WHITEFISH — Tommy Running Rabbit scored 23 points to lead four players in double figures as Browning pulled away in the second half for a 75-54 Northwest A basketball win over Whitefish Saturday.

Robert Reagan hit four 3-pointers and added 16 points for the Indians, who led 34-30 at halftime. Maurice Red Horn III and Brayds Vielle added 11 each — with Red Horn scoring nine points in a third-quarter surge that put Browning up 57-39.

Mason Kelch hit four 3-pointers and scored a game-high 25 points for Whitefish. Jack Sears added 11 for the Bulldogs.

Columbia Falls 79, Florence 40: At Columbia Falls, Jace Hill scored 17 points to lead three Columbia Falls players in double figures with 17 points, and the Wildcats rolled to a non-conference boys basketball win over Florence Saturday.

Cody Schweikert added 15 points and Alihn Anderson 11 for Northwest A Columbia Falls (3-1), which led 49-26 at halftime. The Wildcats hit eight threes, including three each from Anderson and Hill.

The last 30 seconds of the third quarter and all of the fourth were played under a running clock. Jesse Padilla led the District 7-B Falcons with 11 points.
