Law roundup: Man chases biker with baseball bat
A woman on her way to work called the Kalispell Police Department alleging that a black vehicle pulled into a parking lot and a man with a baseball bat jumped out and went after a kid on a bicycle. She told officers she believed the car pulled into the parking lot because they saw her trying to take a picture of them. The man on the bike reportedly didn’t know anything about the incident and didn’t want to pursue charges.
A man allegedly wearing a red wig, black coat and some sort of toga was found trespassing at a store where an employee claimed he was stealing items. The man received a citation and was released.
Someone reportedly smashed the back window of a vehicle, but nothing appeared to have been taken.
A man allegedly returned to a location where he called someone a mongrel several times while his hand was placed on his knife.
A bar employee reportedly needed officers to assist in removing a man who was talking to himself and had been “verbally aggressive” in the past.
A tall man wearing a backpack allegedly walked into a lobby where he screamed and threw something at an employee then ran outside and walked into traffic. Officers told him to stay on the sidewalk and that he was no longer welcome at the business.
It was all fun and games until people reportedly lighting fireworks in a parking lot started physically fighting. A man claimed his nose was possibly broken after being assaulted by two other men and his girlfriend’s daughter but said he didn’t want medical attention or pursue anything at the time.
A man with a loaded pistol allegedly stood in a woman’s doorway where he screamed profanities and threatened her.
Someone called 911 to ask how many dispatchers were working and when the call taker didn’t answer they asked for their name and said, “You work for me,” and hung up. The phone number they were calling from had a history of multiple 911 calls.
