Sullivan leads Pack past Butte on road

BUTTE — Connor Sullivan scored 21 points, 14 after halftime, and Glacier rallied past Butte for a 62-54 Western AA boys basketball win Saturday afternoon.

Noah Dowler added 15 points and 10 rebounds for the Wolfpack (4-9 overall, 3-6 in league), which trailed 32-25 at halftime.

Sullivan had 12 points in the third quarter, including a three that put Glacier up 46-41 going into the fourth. There, Sullivan hit a pair of free throws and Dowler scored down low to push the gap to 50-41.

Butte (3-10, 3-6 in league) got no closer than five points from there.

“Glacier is good,” Bulldogs coach Matt Luedtke told Buttesports.com.. “That Sullivan kid is really, really good. We did a good job on him in the first half, but then we got into foul trouble.”

Kenley Leary scored 21 points for Butte, and Jace Stenson added 13 a night after scoring a career-high 31 against Flathead. Kooper Klobucar had 10 points and seven boards.

Glacier returns home to play Helena (Friday) and Helena Capital (Saturday) this week.
