Bravettes take down Helena 40-34

HELENA — Clare Converse’s 12 points led the charge for the Flathead Bravettes in a 40-34 Western AA basketball victory over Helena High on Saturday.

A second quarter where Flathead outscored Helena 15-3 laid the groundwork and though the Bengals got as close as four points from the lead, the Bravettes (12-3 overall 8-3 Western AA), closed it out with an 11-point fourth quarter.

Avery Chouinard added nine points, and Kennedy Moore scored six, which included four free throws.

For Helena (7-7, 4-6), Avery Kraft and Ashley Koenig each scored 13 points. Koenig also made three 3-pointers.

HELENA — Jada Clarkson’s 13 points paced the Helena Capital Bruins in a 42-22 win over the Glacier Wolfpack.

Glacier’s offense was cold and didn’t manage to score double digits in any quarter.

Sidney Gulick put up 10 and Noah Fincher scored five points for the Wolfpack, who are 5-10 overall and 2-9 in league.

Rachael Stacey added eight points for Helena (9-5, 6-4).
