Dolores ‘Dodie’ Jane Marie Tambellini Ellingson, 79

Dolores “Dodie” Jane Marie Tambellini Ellingson was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She went to be with Jesus on Feb. 6, 2022, at the age of 79.

She was born to Santino “Sam” and Pearl “Pia” Tambellini on Feb. 10, 1942, in Black Eagle, Montana. She had two sisters, Teresa Marn and Dena Eidsvig.

Her parents and siblings preceded her in death.

Dodie was married to her high school boyfriend and loving husband of 61 years, Vincent Ellingson, from Great Falls. Together, they were blessed with three children, Mark Ellingson (wife Janie), Marcy Percival (husband Jeff), and Greg Ellingson (wife Elsa). They have eight grandchildren, Kent, Keith, Kylie, Katelyn, Austin, Kristen, Greg Jr. and Bryce. They also have six wonderful great-grandchildren, Iris, Rosemary, Theo, Oliver, Sadie and Stevie Jo.

She and Vince lived in Yorba Linda, California, for 30 years and then moved to Kalispell in 1996.

Dodie loved spending time in her kitchen cooking. She was a devoted housewife and mother, enjoying each task that she applied herself to. She was fun, spicy, caring and loved her family. She enjoyed sitting at the piano, working in the yard and creating a home in which everyone wanted to come sit, have coffee and visit. She was a committed Christ follower, serving Jesus all the days of her life. She will be so very missed.
