Sylvester Martin 'Shorty' Bekier, 82

Sylvester “Shorty” Bekier, 82, passed away on Jan. 27, 2022, in Columbia Falls at home.

Shorty was born in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, on July 8, 1939.

He is survived by his wife, Linda; sons, Patrick and Martin and his wife Sarah; six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren who loved him dearly and will miss him a lot.

Shorty also had an abundance of good friends and acquaintances over the years. Also surviving are many family members who live out of state.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Shorty’s life will take place at a later date.

Darlington Funeral Home in Kalispell is caring for the family.
