Carolyn Ruth Gibson, 79

Carolyn Ruth Gibson left her earthly home and entered into her heavenly home Saturday, Feb. 12, 2022, at Lubbock Covenant Medical Center.

She was born Feb. 28, 1942, at Childress, Texas, to Preston and Minnie (Enger) Northcutt.

Carolyn graduated from Abernathy High School in 1960. After her retirement, she owned and operated a sweet cherry orchard in Kalispell. She was a member of the Flathead Lake Cherry Growers Association.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, James "Hoot" Gibson; two brothers, Larry Northcutt and Henry "Hank" Northcutt; and two grandsons, Christopher Setliff and Sage Gibson.

Left behind to forever cherish her memory is a daughter, Tana Setliff and husband Bruce; two sons, Tommy Gibson and wife Robbie, and James Gibson; seven grandchildren, Trent, Mikala, Austin, Madison, Catie, Ross and Jordan; two great-grandchildren, Savannah and Andi; and her life partner, Danny Davis.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. today, Feb. 16, at Brown's Chapel of the Fountains, 206 West 1st Street, Borger, Texas. Officiating will be Pastor Dwight Kirksey of the Celebration Family Church, Fritch, Texas.

The family suggests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society or Finley Point - Yellow Bay Fire Department, 35408 MT Hwy. 35, Polson, MT 59860.
