Wilene Bridger, 73

Wilene Bridger, our wife, Mamie, and Nana, leaves us after a short, courageous and peaceful battle with pancreatic cancer on Feb. 14, 2022. Wilene was born July 22, 1948, in Billings to Pauline and William Wallis Jr.

Wilene was preceded in death by her sunshine boy Joel, dad William Wallis and Carl Soderberg, in-laws Edna Bridger, Gen and Allen Bridger, brother Fred and wife Dixie Wallis, brothers-in-law Irvin Moen, William and Leonard Bridger and sister-in-law Peggy Bridger.

Wilene is survived by her husband of 51 years, Jim; daughter, Paula (Chris) Jones; momma, Pauline Wallis Soderberg; sisters, Wanda (Dave) Coles, Wanita (Dan) Mercer, and Wren Moen, also by sisters-in-law Marit and Mary Bridger. She also leaves behind the precious gift she always wanted, grandsons Kayven, Percy and Wyatt. Wilene was aunt, cousin and a friend to those too numerous to count. She will be deeply missed by all.

Wilene loved big and her love had no boundary. It was fitting that she left this earthly world on a day that love is celebrated, Valentine’s Day.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 26, at the Jim Darcy Elementary School Gymnasium, 990 Lincoln Road W., starting at 11 a.m. with a public visitation the hour prior. Following the service will be a potluck luncheon in the cafeteria. A graveside service at the Spring Creek Cemetery in Kalispell will be announced at a later date.
