Glacier swims to team titles at Kalispell meet

Glacier’s girls relays and a trio of boys champions led the Wolfpack to a sweep of the Kalispell High School swim meet held Saturday at The Summit.
The quartet of Madeleine McGaughy, Maggie Dean, Hanna Vornbrock and Olivia Gibbons won the girls 200 freestyle relay for the Pack, which then also had wins in the 200 medley relay (with Madison Taylor added in) and the 400 freestyle relay (Campbell Fox and Emma Lane swam legs).
Glacier won the girls team title with 278 points, compared to 176 for Missoula Hellgate. The Wolfpack boys piled up 256 points behind Drew Bouda’s wins in the 200 and 500 freestyle races, plus victories from Xander Stout (100 butterfly) and Isaac Keim (100 backstroke).
Missoula Sentinel was second among the boys teams with 165 points.
Flathead’s Lily Milner was again impressive, winning both the 100 backstroke and the 50 freestyle. Also shining was Whitefish’s Ada Qunell, who won the 200 individual medley and the 500 free style.
Glacier also won the boys 400 freestyle relay with Jude Flake, Jaedon Durfey, Owen Carpenter and Bouda. The Wolfpack also claimed the combined team title, with 534 points.
