Pedestrian killed on U.S. 93 at St. Ignatius

A Polson woman was killed Friday after being hit by a vehicle on U.S. 93 in Lake County.

According to the Montana Highway Patrol report, the 31-year-old woman was in the northbound lane of the highway near St. Ignatius for unknown reasons at about 6:30 p.m. She was hit by a Dodge Ram pickup driven by a Bozeman resident.

The woman died on the scene. The driver and a passenger in the pickup were not injured.

Road conditions were dry.
