Law Roundup: Cart attack sends man to emergency room

| January 20, 2022 12:00 AM

A man was hit by a shopping cart in the back of his knees at a store, and the altercation landed him in the emergency room. His friend told the Kalispell Police Department he suspected the cart attack was intentional, because the person pushing the cart “laughed and walked away.”

Someone requested a welfare check on a man who was acting “very strange.”

Someone driving by a business was suspicious of two subjects looking at tires outside the property. The caller suspected the subjects were trying to steal the tires, even though they said they had “no idea whether or not these subjects are supposed to be there.”

A green truck backed into a black truck in a drive-through in Kalispell.

A man slept all day, and while he was asleep his vehicle was stolen.

Someone was concerned about an Irish setter left outside on a small spot on a porch, but other residents there assured law enforcement the dog was not being neglected.

Someone accidentally called 911, hung up, then yelled “I am fine!” when dispatch called back.

“I will tell you what,” said a caller on another accidental call, before breathing audibly into the phone and disconnecting.

A neighbor was reportedly “going pretty crazy,” banging on walls and, somehow, stomping on his door.

A woman said a man was “tearing her house apart” but then she said she “changed her mind” and no longer wanted law enforcement to respond.

A blue vehicle was playing “super loud music” outside a residence, but by the time an officer responded, they said “everything is quiet.”
