The first of two crosstown basketball doubleheaders is tonight at Flathead High School, where the girls battle at 6 p.m. and the boys square off after.

The Bravettes bring the gaudiest record (8-0) into the games, with Maddy Moy (11.1 points per game) leading a balanced attack. Sophomore Kennedy Moore – not to be confused with Glacier freshman Kenadee Moore, a key reserve – adds 9.9 points and 11.1 rebounds a game.

Bethany Sorensen averaged 11.1 points and 5.7 points for the Wolfpack (3-5), which is seeking its first league win. Sidney Gulick checks in at 9.5 points and 4.4 rebounds a game.

Records haven’t meant much in terms of point spread in these games: They’re usually close, though Glacier has won nine straight in the girls series.

Flathead’s boys are 1-7 but have been fortified with the return of senior guard Joston Cripe, who is averaging 18.2 points in four games. Gavin Chouinard adds 11.6 points for the Braves; Jo Hansen averages 6.7 points and 6.7 rebounds.

The Wolfpack boys are 2-6; both teams are 1-3 in the Western AA. Senior guard Connor Sullivan’s 12 ppg leads Glacier; Noah Dowler is at 6.5 points and 9.5 rebounds a game, and Will Salonen is averaging 7.1 points and 6.9 rebounds.
