Flathead County 4-H Foods Fair set this weekend

The annual Flathead County 4-H Foods Fair is set for Saturday with members competing from around the valley.

The public is invited to attend the fair which will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Expo Building at the Northwest Montana Fairgrounds in Kalispell.

In this competition, 4-H members are allowed to enter two food items in different categories such as desserts, side dishes, main dishes, soups and “best overall theme.” An adult category will feature 4-H Leaders and volunteers. Judges will select the best dish from each category. The fair will also feature booths decorated by 4-H Clubs that depict this year's theme, "Hunting Camp.”

Flathead County 4-H is open to children ages 5 to 18. People interested in joining 4-H may contact the Montana State University Flathead County Extension Office at 406-758-5553 or extension@flathead.mt.gov.
