Flathead Brawlers scored two more dual wins

If the Flathead Brave Brawlers weren’t perfect Friday, their record still is.
Getting two wins each from William Barnes, Diesel Thompson, Noah Poe-Hatten and Chase Youso, Flathead swept duals with the Helena schools, 44-25 over Capital and 73-0 over Helena High.
The Capital Bruins have some good wrestlers, led by 138-pounder Carson DesRosier, who scored an 11-2 major decision over Asher Kemppainen, and Conner Kovick, who scored a late pin over Gabe Lake at 160.
“On a positive note, we were super proud of senior Mason Doran,” Flathead coach Jeff Thompson said of one of his 170-pounders, who scored a pin against Capital’s Tyler Crum. “Mason put so much work into the program, and showed that can be on that podium come State.
“Will Barnes stepped in at 113 and looked very aggressive on his feet. Logan Stansberry at 132 just keeps improving every week.”
Fin Nadeau had a forfeit win against undermanned Helena, then pinned his Capital opponent at 145. Stansbery did the same: Forfeit win over a Bengal, and a pin of a Bruin.
Diesel Thompson scored two technical falls at 120.
Flathead’s dual record is now 15-0, and the Brawlers put it on the line today at always-strong Butte High.
