Flathead Fusion senior night at Stumptown today
Saturday is senior night for the Flathead Fusion at Stumptown Ice Den in Whitefish today against the visiting Billings Bulls.
The junior varsity Fusion game is set for 5:45 p.m., and the varsity game puck drop is 8 p.m.
A short ceremony to recognize the Fusion’s seniors will take place at 7:30 p.m. with warmups to follow, and the national anthem performed by choir members from Glacier High School.
Flathead seniors include Ronnie Dalton, Finn Davidson, Darby McCarthy, Zane McCallum, Kane Morisaki, JJ Reese, Seth Roskos and Gauge Schneider. Parents will accompany the players during the ceremony.
The Fusion is 7-3 in Treasure State league games this year with 10 left to play before the state tournament in March.
Billings is 8-4 in league play and will face off with Flathead again Sunday at 10:15 a.m. at the Woodland Park ice rink in Kalispell.
Flathead will play host to the Missoula Bruins for a two-game homestand next weekend at Stumptown Ice Den.
The Flathead Fusion is a high school hockey team that combines players from Kalispell and Whitefish and plays in the Montana Amateur Hockey Association.
Admission to the games is free and families are welcome.
