Glacier wrestlers beat Big Sky 51-15

MISSOULA — The Glacier Wolfpack dominated the Missoula Big Sky Eagles 51-15 in a dual Saturday, the last of the regular season.

“Awesome team win today,” Glacier coach Ross Dankers said. “It was great to see our guys really pushing the pace all the way through matches which was the tipping point in a number of matches.”

All but three matches ended in victory for Glacier.

Teegan Vasquez pinned his opponent, Landence Running Crane in 3:15 at 132 pounds. TJ Gannon (205) got a pin in 42 seconds.

At 126, Big Sky’s Isaac Ayers edged Joshua Melton for the win in an 8-2 decision.

Grayson Barcus (160) fought his way to a pin of Charlie Watson in a come-from-behind win.

“Especially excited for Grayson Barcus, he has been really coming on strong these past few weeks,” Dankers said.

Scores for the girls duals were not available, but Emily Pedron and Brooke Yeadon earned wins against Big Sky.

The girls have put together a great season so far and just putting a few final tweaks in before state,” Dankers said.
