GREAT FALLS – The Glacier Range Riders (13-21) got the July monkey off their back in a crucial Sunday evening victory over the Great Falls Voyagers (21-14).

The Range Riders hit four home runs to account for all of their scoring, and Justin Coleman came up huge with a clutch save to help Glacier fend off the Voyagers in the 6-5 victory.

The Range Riders didn't wait long to break out the boomstick as Sam Linscott cracked a homer over the fence, scoring Brandt Broussard and making it 2-0. In the next inning, Livingston Morris joined the fun with a solo homer to his name as it became 3-0. The other three runs also came by homers, but they did include a couple firsts as well. When Eddie McCabe went yard, that was the first time he had hit a homer in his Range Rider career, while Ben McConnell's solo shot was the first of his professional career.

The pitching was there for Glacier as well, with Noah Barros nearly untouchable on the mound. The lone run against him came via softly hit single, a stolen base, and the runner tagging up on two different fly outs to end up scoring on a sac fly. The day for Barros ended with seven innings pitched, four hits allowed, one earned run, and six strikeouts to one walk.

Drama caught up with the visitors late, as the Voyagers found a way to get four late runs across and had runners on the corners with one out in the bottom of the ninth. Justin Coleman entered the game, trying to prevent the tying run from crossing the plate, even though that potential run stood only 90 feet away. Coleman embraced the incredibly tough circumstance and quickly forced the next Voyager to hit a grounder to third base where McCabe quickly threw home to connect with catcher Justin Mazzone who extinguished the possible equalizer with a successful tag at home. From there, Coleman forced a flyout to deep center which would give him his second save of his professional career, as well as the 6-5 win for the Range Riders.
