Twins rout Calgary Bucks in four innings
The Glacier Twins cruised to a 13-1 victory over the Calgary Bucks in four innings at the Keith Sell Legion baseball tournament on Sunday.
Rainy weather canceled the rest of pool play on Sunday, and Monday’s schedule was revised.
Mason Peters and Hayden Meehan scored runs in the first inning. Peters and Owen Shilling added two more in the second. The Bucks narrowed the score to 4-1 in the top of the third, but that was as close as they would get.
Glacier pulled away by scoring 9 more runs in the next two innings, ending the game on a mercy rule.
Mikey Glass, Shilling and Kellen Kroger each scored two runs, and Dayne Tu had four RBIs’
Glass threw all four innings on the mound for Glacier and surrendered only one run on one hit while striking out three batters.
