Glacier Symphony’s Night at Rebecca Farm goes to the movies
The Glacier Symphony’s popular Symphony Night at Rebecca Farm takes place Friday and Saturday, July 8 and 9. This long standing partnership with Rebecca Farm has become a Flathead Valley summer tradition and an annual highlight for residents and summer visitors alike.
This year the theme is “Movie Music Magic” and the program contains tunes everyone will recognize from their favorite films, including “Lord of the Rings,” “Superman,” “West Side Story” and the James Bond 007 franchise. There will also be a special “surprise” set from one of America’s most popular film composers.
Gates open at 5:30 p.m. for guests to enjoy a picnic, their favorite beverages. Bring a blanket or stadium chairs, or reserve a picnic table. There are always plenty of food trucks.
The concerts begin at 7:30 p.m. Performing under the signature saddle tent, the Glacier Symphony under the direction of Maestro John Zoltek will present a program of classic orchestra pops and light classical music. Last summer the concerts attracted more than 2,500 people each evening.
Tickets are either unreserved by the carload, or a limited number of picnic tables that seat eight people can be reserved — either open-air or under a tented area. There are also tickets available in an open-air family area reserved at the back of the field. If you prefer to bike in, tickets are $5.
