WTC offers summer theater camps

| July 7, 2022 12:00 AM

Enrollment is now open for Whitefish Theatre Company’s Summer Performance Camps. WTC is offering programs for all age groups, from first through 12th grades. Theater camps at WTC offer tools that promote self-confidence in a supportive, creative and dynamic environment.

Three camps will be offered during the week of July 11 to 15.

• The Jungle Book Camp is offered for students entering first through third grades. Taught by Kim Krueger, campers will create their own characters and write their own script in one week.

• Two sessions of Improv Comedy Camp will be offered for students entering fourth through sixth, and seventh through 12th grades. Taught by Maggie Garver, participants will learn improv fundamentals by trusting their instincts, saying yes to teammates, and fully committing to whatever hilarious scenes and characters campers come up with.

• Two additional camps will be offered during the week of July 18 to 22. An “Encanto” Dance Camp will be offered for students entering fifth grade and up. Taught by Alyssa Morales, campers will learn Latin-inspired choreography to a song from Disney’s hit film “Encanto” while working on rhythm, expressiveness and musical interpretation. The “Encanto” Dance Camp for students entering first through fourth grades is currently full. Desirée Albonetti-Roberson will also teach a Let’s Get Down to Disney Camp for students entering fourth through eighth grades. Participants will perfect scenes from various Disney favorites, including “High School Musical,” “Aladdin” and “Mulan,” to name a few.

All camps culminate in a performance for family and friends.
