The community is invited to celebrate with Habitat for Humanity four Home dedications in Lakeside and Columbia Falls, and a groundbreaking for three new homes in Somers.

Habitat for Humanity of Flathead Valley is wrapping up its Lakeside Affordable Home Project build cycle and Columbia Falls renovation.

Join Habitat staff, board members, volunteers, supporters and the community in welcoming these families into their new homes. Refreshments will be served at the following locations:

• Lakeside home dedication: Thursday, July 14, at 6 p.m., at 133, 139 and 145 Crystal View Court

• Columbia Falls home dedication: Tuesday, July 19, at 6 p.m., at 1 Mitchell Way.

Habitat for Humanity of Flathead Valley will be breaking ground in Somers, on three new homes. Join the ceremony, enjoy refreshments and meet the families.

• Somers groundbreaking ceremony: Tuesday, July 26, at 6 p.m., at the corner of School Addition Road and Walker Avenue.

Home dedications are a time at the end of the build cycle when Habitat can also celebrate the generous donors that provided vital funds, materials, services, and the volunteers.

As with all HFHFV projects, construction costs are reduced by mobilizing community volunteers and resources. Through community outreach and development, the Lakeside Affordable Home Project worked with hundreds of individuals and groups … schools, businesses, services organizations, faith-based groups and families, combine

Here in the Flathead Valley, the need for affordable housing is out of reach for far too many families. Habitat brings independence to families in need of a decent and safe place to live.

At completion, the homes will be sold at-cost to the selected families. Since 1989, Habitat for Humanity of Flathead Valley has built 64 affordable homes for 71 families, 101 adults, and 151 children.
